Project Hound the Heller Peugeot 905

Right time for something new. I have allways loved the old Group C machines some classic liverys and cars.
I tried to build this kit years ago but it ended in the bin through frustration.......

The kit has a bad reputation and thats harsh, wait no its not its a pig!!
I do not have the skills or patience to try and fix the million things wrong with the engine bay so im just going kerb side to make the best looking one I can

Lets try again

Famous last words

The "kit"

Some bits taken off and others fell off in transit

The tub. It has the way better suspension arms than the rear yet cannot be seen when built...

Front and rear cowlings. Look how far one side of the rear is sat of the deck.

The wobbly line of the rear deck

Now shaped and corrected

Thought i would try and open up the front vents

Taped to gether for a test fit. Oh dear

You are not kidding!

I am using Shunko Decals the yellow and red and a real nice dayglo but it doesnt pick up in the photos

Trying to bring the thicknes of the rear shell up to match

So I can do this. Thats on problem solved!

Time to mount the lower front section

Hmmm with the left side level the right is going to need some work (shocker)

So i thought id come away from the body for a while and looked at the wheels. Had a quick think about the round nut a just decided to remove it and replace with a small bolt

Re: Project Hound the Heller Peugeot 905

not much of a update

The filling and sanding has started

The exhaust are being opened up

The air scoop getting some carbon

Trying something from here, had to go out and by a compass

Not perfect but better than I have done before

The start of the masking on the body glass and the outcome

and a sneaky peak at the rear wing
