Mitsubishi Fuso aka Rocket Bunny Express

Starting working on this one, and as the title says, its going to be the Rocket Bunny Express for the Toyota 86 Rocket Bunnys I have built. I am/did/was planning on getting a "newer" cab to go with the trailer, but seeing that is not a "cheap" kit, I am going to build the tractor and then later on switch out the cabs.

I am going to say that this kit really does show just how the old the tooling is, pretty much every part needs some sort of clean up, and so far, there are a few notiable fit issues, one being the exhaust pipes, the under pipe is way to long, and the piping from the engine is to long , so trimming is need, which I did, but I cut it to short. Fujimi I did work to convert this one from its motorized days, and I cant say how well or not of a job they did, but they left the metal axle rod that is used for the drive shaft in. So far, this is a kit that you get for the trailer and not the tractor, as the trailer so far, looks a lot better off than the truck, enough of the blah blah blah, time for the photos.

cab floor

All these parts where chromed plated

Looking like a great start! This kit was motorized? That's cool! I would love a motorized one. I think the old-style trailer will look awesome with modern cars on it. Very cool idea!

You would be correct, this was motorized.

Finally have got around and started on the trailer, lets take a look at some of the parts that make it first, the sides are split up into three sections
Here you have the front and rear section

And the middle section

And a mock up

Re: Mitsubishi Fuso aka Rocket Bunny Express

wow. it's not everyday you see a build like this here. nice going!

and in my unsolicited opinion, an old-school truck carrying new cars would be a nice contrast

Re: Mitsubishi Fuso aka Rocket Bunny Express

Alright, back to this one, almost done with the trailer, as of right now, I think all I have left to do is the taillights, so lets have a looks see , sorry for the limited photos and lighting, my work area is not great for larger projects

And been working on the truck, I am going to 100% honest, sort of phoning it in on the work
First the floor of the interior, as you can see, has hole holes
And after cutting sheet stock

and after some paint

Seat in place

Dash in place

Look at the cab

Going to skip ahead
Painted
