BMW 635 CSi, Vojtěch/Enge, GP Brno 1983, Tamiya 1/24
Hello guys , this is my last finished work, the BMW 635 CSi the Czechoslovak driver Zdeněk Vojtěch and Břetislav Enge from the ETCC race on the circuit Brno in year 1983, builded with the old Tamiya kit. RONAL rims are Renaissance (nothing much)
. I had to make decals in the company. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Very nicely done, love the old Group A BeeEmm's! May I ask where you got the Ronal type wheels from?

Very cool. Brno was a wild street curcuit back in the 1970's and 1980's. Alot of good touring car races held there. I want to do the Totip Jolly Club GTV6 from Brno 1984.
Is the Fujimi 635 enthusiast kit not better than the Tamiya kit? Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo 2015-late March 2015 Chicago |

Thank you all for the comments.

I have both . At first glance, it is not so, but the model from Narton is in order and according to the drawing exactly . On the Quattroruote model is produced resin transkit for Alfa GTV6 in Italy . |

Re: BMW 635 CSi, Vojtěch/Enge, GP Brno 1983, Tamiya 1/24
I have both the Narton (not very good at all and should be avoided) and the Quattroroute Alfetta+ Bermat GTV6 transkit wich is nice and accurate(I own a real GTV6). The decals are what I have to work on. I never could justify producing them(my company is Scale Designs). I could do the Luigi car wich is less complicated. In 1983 and 1984 the Jolly Club GTV6's were using centerlock MOMO wheels wich I like alot better than the Speedline wheels.
I never built the Fujimi but the parts did look great in the box. I will have to take another look at the body. Thanks for info.

Re: BMW 635 CSi, Vojtěch/Enge, GP Brno 1983, Tamiya 1/24
I envy the real car.
BEAUTY ![]() I work decal for Alpilatte and Luigi car I'm looking for contact to manufacturer transkit for Quattroruote. But back to the topic. This is the finished model by Fujimi. Deformation of the shape is apparent. ![]() more: https://www.flickr.com/photos/277455...n/photostream/ The ideal is to use the body Tamiya(chassis and bodywork) and interior fittings from Fujimi. |

Nice livery! You've done a great job overall, but some things look a bit strange to me. Do you have reference photos for this car? Does the real thing have the battery under the hood and the rear wall of the interior painted silver?
I agree on the Tamiya vs Fujimi comparison. The roof is not the only thing that looks wrong on Fujimi when you put the two models side by side, so to get the perfect kit you really need to combine both. |

Which things are weird? A picture of the engine compartment, I don't. The original photo of the cockpit the original photo of the back of the silver rear walls. ![]() The photo is from the training on the race.... ...and here from the race ![]() Behind the wheel of a car is B.Enge |

Re: BMW 635 CSi, Vojtěch/Enge, GP Brno 1983, Tamiya 1/24
My point was that the color of the rear wall should not be different from its surroundings, because it's not a detachable piece. These photos didn't persuade me, but I've found some modern day ones that show it in silver indeed (and I wonder why).
There are a few more things that look different from what I've seen on other Gr. A BMWs, but they seem to be consistent with the photos of this car that I've found now. You've probably seen these pages (there's an engine pic on one of them, by the way -- not sure if it's authentic, though): http://www.bpa.cz/CZ/tisk.html?rubrid=40 http://auto.idnes.cz/bmw-635-csi-har...to_ojetiny_fdv One thing you may want to keep in mind if you are going to build more 635s: the black wire that runs from under the expansion tank cap towards the firewall on your model is actually not a wire but an overflow hose. The other end is not connected to anything, it just points towards the ground. |

![]() This is a minor thing. No big mistake. ![]() In the Museum Lány is a copy of, but is not accurate 100% . Next models(Quester and the second Heyer both of the two ETCC 1983 GP Brno) , what I create will be without an open area of the engine.
