Dremmil
do you guys use a dremmil? i notice alot of people cut out for their exhausts and it looks all choppy, it wouldent be a bad idea to invest in some sort of rotary cutting/sanding tool. thats IMO

Personaly i would recomend the dremmel, because it comes with a 5 year warranty and i have the one that has the variable speed, but if your not willing to spend that much, check out your local, walmart or parts store, and you could pick one up for like 20usd.

) it cost about £30 with a few tools. the one i have has interchangeable chucks so it can even use the tools sold for the dremelsi agree with TURBOSATURN that the dremel would be better because it has a good warranty, but unless you are making hundereds of models, i think a cheaper ''mini drill'' will do the job just fine. wall mart, or some catalogue store will probably have one. |

I own a dremel, and I don't use it to do all that much so often anymore, it spins too fast, even on the lowest setting!

Jonno
i solved the problem of the dremel spinning too fast by making a speed controller out of a light dimmer switch.it's all done safely, 3 pin plug into an electrical box, thru the dimmer switch and into the 3 pin socket. it looks just like an extension cord but with a box in the middle. i just plug the dremel into this and i can vary the speed from about 200rpm upto 37000 rpm. cost me about $30 but now i can use it for everything. cheers B would have pm you but thought others might find this usefull. |
