another VERRRY EASY way to create deep dish rims
heres another way to make deep dish rims without having to waste another rim, or even buy styrene...
start off with the rim, and cut a small section from the rear of the rim.  Then, all you do is Sand down the new "lip", on both sides, then glue it onto the face of the rim.  THen you paint (which i haven't completed) and It SHOULD look great

The difference here is that you need a good cutting tool and very good control to make the cut straight and narrow enough. With the other methods, you could just sand away the backside of the rim.
What did you use for your cutting?

some hobby saw, which didn't work well with a vice..
i didn't think my dremel would work, meh im going to go paint them.... ill take some pics soon!~

To solve the problem of cutting the suspension etc etc and buying widebody kits or creating them. Why not use this method for your dragcar models? You cut the diff in dragcars most of the time anyway! This is awesome, you've posted this at just the right time, I'm making a fully tubbed dragcar soon and this will come in handy! Cheers
