need advice on bumper repair
hey guys, heres the deal.i bought a used bumper cover for my '89 crx si.i got it off ebay.the problem is the guy didnt package it right and it got all tore up.mostly the plastic areas of the bumper that arent painted.for some reason he only covered the bumper in paper.so the paper got pulled off on alot of areas and there were rocks and dirt wrapped in.so i was wondering can a body shop fix the scratchs and deep holes in the bumper?its all on the rubber part going across the mid bumper and on the bottom.its really ugly right now.i cant afford to have to buy a whole new bumper.thanks guys

Correct me if im wrong someone, but i think you can just buy a new lip (the plastic part). They make carbon fiber ones, that'd be tight, but ur on a budget so maybe not the best idea.

i think he means the black stripe that goes across the forwardmost part of the bumper at the top. i have a few scratches in mine, and i can't seem to fix em at all... you can cover em up pretty good with this stuff called "Back to Black"... i bought it at Kmart, it's for unpainted plastic on cars, like side moldings and even front lips if they are teh OEM unpainted ones... shit works GOOD and really adds a distinct touch... i use it on the black plastic at the base of teh windshield where the wipers are and on my side mirror housings... it is amazing stuff. it covers up some scratches too... hell it even works on taillights to give them and extra clean look, like they just rolled out of the factory.
