I'm about to get an accord

Yes I'm about to trade or sell my toyota camry v6 le. It has about 116,000 miles on it. I should sell it for 3000-5000. I really want a accord Im thinking about getting a 93-97 accord 2dr ex 5spd. If i cant get a 2dr i will just get the 4dr 5spd dx,lx, or ex. Yes I'm planning on modifing it I will plan to have or get:
ground control overs
h22a
aem intake
making a choice between dc sports/greddy/tanabe cat back exhaust
dc sports headers
tenzo-r gunmetal rims 17x7
1/2 red 1/2 white tail lights or carban fiber tails
jdm headlights
carbon fiber hood
maybe clear bumper lights
body kit
turbo maybe a drag kit
etc.
Any recommendations or advice? In colorado springs its really hard to find a 2dr accord 5spd.

well, i'm guessing you're talking about the 5th gen accord, which would be 94-97, not 93-97.

if you're pretty sure about going turbo, i wouldn't get intake and headers yet, just the h22a. if you're going NA, then you can spend the money on bolt-ons and other basic power mods, cuz once you get your turbo, you're gonna hafta sell off your header, and that'll kinda be a waste of money.

what kind of car are you looking to build? ie. more on the drag racing or streetable side?

I would say 94-95 cause I like the way they look and obd1. my friend is selling a 94 coupe ex 5spd. this is a really rare car actually. he will let it go for 3500. 97xxx miles, timing belt and a bunch of other maintenance done. fender on passenger side is damaged and the front bumper on that side has light damage. he will also include a new fender, and the front bumper isnt so bad, and would obviously be replaced with a body kit. this is a great deal... someone buy it

I will have it on the streetable side. I know the 94-97 is 5gen. I was saying if i couldnt get a 94-97 i will just go with the 93.

yeah, here's an advice:

accords are nice cars, the 94-97 accords have many options and mods...but just cuz you have a loud noisy muffler and a big spoiler doesn't mean you can pull up to any car and beat them. i hate that. please don't be like those idiots. i love my accord, have fun hookin' it up.

I have a 95 accord lx and i love it, but i wish i had looked more for an EX cuz that was the first year for Vtech's in the accords i believe. Anyway, if your gonna swap the engine, you might be able to sell the engine that you take out for a bit more if its a Vtech, i know i am looking for a Vtech from a 94-97 accord. My 2 cents.

I love my Accord I own a '94 EX 5spd coupe, and it is a damn fun car. '94 was the first year for VTEC in the Accord class, 95 was the first year for v6 (Which only made around 170 horses anyways.) I only WISH I had the resources it sounds like you have for hooking up the car, I've got a few things installed, an AEM SR intake (a DAMN useful mod, if you ask me- you should SEE all the crap I pulled out: the airbox, intake pipe, FIA controller, etc. now it throttles MUCH quicker, and sounds awesome when VTEC engages) and my exhaust sounds really nice too- the Accord engine being a 2.2L provides for a much throatier sound over the 1.8 in cars like the Civic. Oh yeah, don't pay any heed to people who peg the Accord as less than adequate in the performance dept.- obviously they are basing their opinions on auto tranny LX's or something, because the EX (especially with the 5 spd) is NO slouch for a 4 cylinder.
