help ID this interior

Hello all. Name is Chris. Car is my 1940 Chrysler Windsor. I am trying to positively ID the seats that are in it. I have a couple things pointing me towards Cadillac Catera, but not 40% sure. If someone could give me a positive ID, with picture please, I would be extremely grateful.

Like the blue color, not a fan of botching an old dash (especially how good the '40 dah looks).
Anyone have an idea to help ID this interior? I have probably looked at 300 different interior pics trying to figure it out.

Have you looked near the seat tracks for any brand information or part numbers? If you have an inspection mirror, looking under the seat might yield helpful information.

Are they power adjust? What do the power controls look like? Some brands have a very distinct style to their controls.

Do you know approximately when these were installed? Do you know if they've ever been re-covered?

I'm leaning more toward a Chrysler or Dodge seat (300M, 300C, Intrepid).

I looked at it all when I had the seats out while building the brackets to fit the floor. The only markings were the date code (dont remember it, can get it on monday) and serial number on the motors. I am going to say they are early to mid 2000's. I got the car feb 2011 with the seats in it. I think they are 6way, non-lumbar. I can say with 99% certainty that they are out of a 2 door. The backs of the front seats do not lock and they both have a seat belt guide.

If it's just a seat belt guide, not an integrated seat belt, that does seem rather GM-like. I looked at some Oldsmobile Alero, Buick Regal, and Pontiac Grand Prix and Bonneville seat images but didn't see anything that matched.

If the seat belts are integrated in to the seats, then the seats might be out of a 2-seat convertible.

Do an Internet search for the power seat motor part numbers may yield at least the automobile brand. Often times the buyer will specify the part number that the manufacturer is to stamp on the product.

Yeah, they are just guides. Definitely not from a 2 seater, the back seat is a dead on match, so it's from the same car. Mid-size car would be the area, back seat fits the small back of my coupe perfectly without any deformation. I'll get the numbers when I get back home on Monday.

T7098 is the SN on the tag. Found what I thought was a build sheet, but all it said was "adjustable driver side". Switches look loose because I just pulled them out to see if there were any markings on the back, there aren't.

That switch style doesn't look familiar to me at all. I wonder if these seats might be from an import?

Interesting. I did a search for "motor 16734979" and came up with a couple of hits on applications for that motor.

Thanks. Still can't find them. The seats or the switches. I don't know if its just because I'm on my phone or they are just hard to find.

The application information listed a whole bunch of GM models and model years that used these motors. So I think that narrows it down a bit to at least being a GM. It may take some time with Google Images to figure out what model and year these seats came from. And then of course there is always the chance that these seats have been recovered and customized in the process, in which case they still won't match exactly anything off the shelf.

What exactly are you trying to ID these for? Your latest post makes me wonder if you think there is an issue with one of the switches. If that's the case, you might want to change your search to just ID'ing the switch itself. You might be able to get a replacement switch (not the by application switch assembly) from an electronic parts supplier like Mouser or Digikey for just a few dollars.

No, nothing is wrong with the seats, they actually work really well. I am just one of those guys that likes to know what came from what when building a car.
