I just bought a 95 325i (automatic) (premium package) and there is no driver's manual...so i had a few questions if anyone can help me out.
There is 2 climate levers (round circle things) it that for right and left or front and back...also does that turn on A/C if put to coldest? Right below the fan (above the radio) there is another lever that has blue to red (cold/hot) what is this for if there already is those 2 round levers? What does the memo button do on the info screen? how does it work...also what is the limit button for? There is a security light but i never see it blink? how and when does it work? My car is an automatic and there is a button that has A and M (auto/manual? ) on it? what is it for and how is it used? Lasly...does it have tilt wheel? cause i dont think mine does Thanks alot...any help would be greatly appreciated as I dont have a drivers manual and cant look it up. |

Briefly...
-Round circle things are for left and right temperature. You have to push the snow flake button to turn the air cond on. -Blue & red dial controls the temperature from only the dash vents (except when others mentioned above are set to maximum cooling). -Memo buttom is a time reminder. It will sound every hour on the hour if activated. Limit button is a speed warning. It will sound if you exceed the the maximum speed you have entered. -Security light is supposed to flash for 36 hours after shut down if you have the anti theft system activated. -The A/M button by the shifter is for the trans mode you desire. In "A" the trans works like an automatic normally does. In "M", the trans will stay in the gear you select with the shift lever. -If you have a tilt wheel, there will be a lever under the steering column. Few 3 series in your year range have tilt wheels. Buy a manual ASAP, you'll be very glad you did. ![]() HTH

The 2 round dials control ALL air...dash, foot, windshield, side windows. Once you set that, you can then vary ONLY the dash with the blue/red knob to adjust only the dash vents. Some people want that air to be a bit different than the air at all other outlets.
By putting the trans in "M", you can control the shifts yourself. You can keep it in lower gears longer for faster acceleration than the "A" mode which is for best fuel economy. In snow, you can start out in "3" for better traction.
