Won't Trail Right.

I think I may have messed this bike up I tried making a goose next out of it, and did not know what I was doing. The end result being I can't hardly ride it for the front end shacking and wanting to start wobbling all over the place. What do I do now???? Start over or is there a fix for my ignorance. Here is a picture of the Bike.

I think the problem you are having is that the forks are so long that they are able to vibrate and bend on their own creating all that wobbling that you are feeling, I would try making a brace to lock the two forks together further down the forks, this will change the oscillation frequency of the fork-tubes and should cut way down on the wobble. You will have to experiment with the placement up and down the forks until you find something that is acceptable for you.

As far as making a brace goes the easiest thing I can think of is getting a couple of old piston connecting rods and chopping off the piston ends off and welding them together then using the crankshaft ends to go around your fork tubes.

You will have to measure the outside diameter of your tubes then dig through some automotive repair manuals to find some connecting rods that will fit and then experiment with various thicknesses of bearings until it locks everything together tightly.

You have to figure out what "chopper" means to you. You can start with no more than an idea and buy every single component. you can do all 'bolt-on' replacements or you can modify what you got.
