how about this?
hey would it be smart to buy an rx-7 twin turbo with 70000 miles on it for around 4 grand? its a 93 3rd gen, and the passenger door handle is broken but everthing else works fine, o i forgot to mention its a manual, stock. and the previous owner bought it for 8 grand, he wants to sell it cause he can't do nothing in it and he likes to bike alot and the rx can't hold the bike unless he takes it apart, so he's wanting to get a truck? what do yall think?

go for it. The engine may be a little tired, so you might have to put down a couple grand on an engine rebuild sorta soon, but 4 grand is a steal!

Wheres the car at? If you dont want it, I might buy it. That is an awesome price. If you dont know anything about rotarys, you will have a lot of money invested in this. The engine usually goes out around 80,000 miles. If you buy it and need any help with it, let me know and myself or most of the guys on this forum can help you out.
They are beautiful cars, but they are also a lot of work. |

I read in another post that you might want a 2002 civic si? I have a 2000 (better than 2002 IMO) Civic SI with less than 20,000 miles for sale. Its also completly stock so you can do what you want to it.
Let me know where your located! |

im currently located in houston texas, and im on a low budget right now so i really can't afford something over 10 grand, yeah the rx-7 is a very clean car, but i wish it was more reliable.

buy it as a project car if you can. because if you're on a budget, don't expect to be able to keep up with all of its maintenance needs while still keeping it on the road. if you need it to be in good shape, a rebuild is inevitable in the near future, but if you're willing to spend at least $5000 on fixing it up and basic performance upgrades, then you will have a badass, healthy rx-7 for under 10 grand, which is a major accomplishment. this is a good opportunity, but just be aware of what the car's going to need to be reliable.
btw, if you want to look at some prices, . here's somewhere to begin |

If you only have money for one car, I wouldnt get it. The car will need fixing a lot and usually people who have turbo rx-7's have more than one car.
Also, if your kinda strapped for cash and your under 25, insurance will be a bitch for FDs. About 1,200 a half if you have a clean record.

yeah it is! the car is 10 years old! I would hate paying $2400 a year to insure one car.
