Radio Problems
I have a 1989 C1500 series truck, It has a DELCO radio and cassette player
(Does anyone listen to cassettes anymore?) anyway, It does not work, I found an Identical radio at a swap meet and switched them out but still nothing, The lights on the front work and the clock lights up but only display 1:00. (it's correct twice a day) can anyone provide some help? Thanks |

Re: Radio Problems
I went the aftermarket way. Went to Crutchfield.com and they set me up with the tuner, speakers and all the correct adapters in the correct color. Sounds a whole lot better than it ever did stock. I did keep all of the OEM equipment just in case when I ever decide to sell her.

Re: Radio Problems
Sven:
Did you ever get your radio to work? I have the same problem on a 1991 C1500. I replaced the light bulbs in the instrument cluster w/LED bulbs, hooked it up and not the stupid radio won't work? I think its that tin rectangle box under the dash, kinda behind the ash tray. Going to try and find one of those to see if it's the problem. Thought that might be your problem too. ??? |

Re: Radio Problems
That tin box is your radio. The other is just the head unit/controls. It's probably your problem. Just go aftermarket.
