If it's a 3.8, you're in business! If it's a 3.4, sorry, you're out-of-luck!

There is alot that you can do to anything. The real question is How much do you want to spend? and How hard will it be to do?
You can order a custom cut cam from Edlebroke, Crane or have a machine shop make you one. That is where the money starts to get high. If you don't understand clearances or are unsure how to put it together i would not do that if i were you. If you want to do something that requires less money and know-how. Flow. Increase the flow that is going into the engine, exhaust, intake porting, injectors, airintake. Also depending on what ignition that you have in it (stock that is) an upgrade will help. Most of the time though people throw money into something that they don't need in that department. Notice that MSG and Mallary don't make that much stuff for alot of newer cars. there is a reason. there isn't much to do to them. In 1999 Fords stock 2 plug ignition system will not misfire up to 11,000 rpm's. inother words well after the bottom end let go.

It's a 3.8 since it's a 2000.
