Cold weather high rpm
Hi,
now the temperature fall down to under 10 degrees Celsius. If the engine cold the rpm rise to 1500 on drive and 2000 in park position. After the engine complete warmup and open the big cooling circle the engine runs normal with 1000 rpm. Rpm reads from dash board not obd. No codes and no other bad symptoms. Is this normal? 98 Lumina and 3.8 V6. |

CTS sensor? Vac leak? Bad IAC? Check for codes?

Re: Cold weather high rpm
Hi,
I cleaned the iac. The cts sensor show good values. A nice curve if engine becomes to get warm. No trouble codes. I checked all possibles vacuum leaks. Nothing. New upper and lower manifold gaskets, new upper plenum and new vacuum lines from throttle body to fuel pressure regulator and evap module. Last year engine did the same. I think it's happened after new egr valve. But if I read in other forums somebody told it's ok if weather cold and other told it's not ok. |
