2001 SLE Bonneville

My issue started with a check gas cap message. I got a new cap sanded the rim of the filler tube, cleared the code and the message keeps coming back.

Now I continue to see more and more electrical issues, gas gauage doesn't work, temp, oil pressure - none of them work. I also get many dash light coming on as I drive, security, brake, abs nor do my interior lights work.

I checked fuses and all appear ok. Before I tear into it I thought I'd see if anyone has any insight. I guess I will start by checking the grounds...

Gas cap code would not be part of your elec. issues. To lose all those accessories the electrical part of the ign. could be bad, also make sure the fuses for these components are powered.

I thought the same about the gas cap, but the gauge stopped working at the same time.

The ign switch also crossed my mind, might be worth a shot, thanks!
