1996 Lumina How do I clear codes?
Is there a way to clear the " check engine light" code if I dont have a instrument? Can I disconnect the battery and will that do it?

Usually you can disconnect the battery and step on the brakes for about 30secs. But if it is throwing a valid code, it will come back. Most auto parts stores will read your codes for free.

Not a bad idea to buy a simple code reader($20-30).....they can read and clear codes.....
