2002 Escalade AWD has no speedometer reading?

I'm getting code for rear anti-lock not reading, won't shift out of 2nd either. I replaced speed sensor on transfercase but still nothing, checked fuses under hood and they seem fine. What would be the next move? I'm sure speedo not working in probably whats causing the other problems..
Thanks for any responses..

The trans is in default, normal with no speedo reading, you need a full scan to see what the pcm is getting for a speedo input, this is all tied together.

This is what comes up after changing Speed Sensor on transfercase and a new battery
C0660
B1050
U1301
B0540
V1000
U1223
U1220
U1207
U1247
Still has no reading for speed and Anti-Lock lites comes on as soon as you erase it. I checked fuses under hood and on side of drivers side dash..

Obviously those codes point to the issue, google them or get access to the trouble shooting info, a high line scanner would have a code troubleshooter built in.

Re: 2002 Escalade AWD has no speedometer reading?

Need to have the codes cleared and see what resets. The "U" codes are communication codes, that's a "U" not a "V". No listing for a B1050, sure its not a B1005? C0660 is the exhaust valve on the ELC assembly. B0540 is no speed detected by the DIC. ABS light is probably on because of the speed signal problem, but should get the ABS code also to be sure.

As Max said, a top quality scanner will be needed to do a accurate diagnosis.

Got most of the bigger problems repaired, it was the 2 wires coming out of harness on top of tranny. A little hard to get to but it shifts now and lites are out..
