Factory locations of Chrysler Minivans
So, I recently bought a 2003 Dodge Caravan SE and unlike my 95 Voyager (may she rest in peace) the first number on the VIN is a 1 which means this Dodge was built in the U.S.of A. Even the builder sticker says built in the U.S. of A.
I know some 2nd gen Minivans were built at an overflow plant somewhere in Missouri, but were some 4th gens built there as well? Google searches and Allpar searches have yielded nothing. |

Re: Factory locations of Chrysler Minivans
According to Wikipedia there was a St. Louis assembly plant (Located in Fenton, Missouri) that made S-Bodies (Minivans) but it closed in 2008, so some of the Gen IV Minivans would have been assembled there. Windsor, ON has been and currently is assembling minivans. Obviously no more are assembled here. Sad, really.

Re: Factory locations of Chrysler Minivans
Thank you for that information, it was all right there, I was just not looking in quite the right locations. I am surprised there is not a "Proudly built in Missouri!" tag anywhere on the vehicle since some models of GM and FoMoCo vehicles have a decal telling you where and what factory it was built in.

Re: Factory locations of Chrysler Minivans
Glad to help. The sticker on the driver's door should tell you what country is was made it. The tags on my 2001 and my 2008 both say made in Canada.
