Ford Mustang '98 Tamiya 1/24
Hi
![]() I have just ended my weekend edition model - that's not a joke. The model was simple. I added only a few parts like new wheels, bonnet pins, seat belts, flock, Ford and GT stickers. Front and tail lights are in smoke. The base color is silver with steel and gun metal "spots". That is under 4 layers of clear red tamiya, and clear cote APP. This is not my best model, but it brought me a lot of fun ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Greetings MesserDesign |

A very interresting effect, and a good even surface, considering the amount of clears. Maybe you should have used only silver as basecoat, without the darker spots.
Panellines are a bit heavy though.

Do you wax with Lemon Pledge (furniture polish)? Reminds me of a 1:1 Ferrari F40 I saw made entirely out of wood. Your paint/finish looks like a particular wood but I can't quite place which one (Rosewood?). I hope that is the effect you were going for. Kind of like a modern day sports car woody.

No no - the effect is connected with bare metal. I see that in "overhaulin"

Another great paint job and great model! Nice!
I really like the color choice for the car.
