00 silverado dont turn on..help?

Hello i changed the multifunction swiitch on 00 silverado now the truck wont start at all i checked all fuses and relays and nothing i just hear a click on flasher and windows relay but no crank.i just put a wire going from the starter to the battery put the key on and it started tried to turn it on with keys and no just wiring the starter to batt?any help???

you disconnected the battery first when opening up the steering column ? If not then this is a normal failure.

Go to the starter crank fuse and see if it is getting voltage to and threw it when in start position.
Poat back what you have there.

I did dissconect the battery while i was doing it.i took of new one and put on old and still wont turn on.when i get out of work ill check the fuses.

Hello checked fuses and still nothing crank fuse 10A is good

But is it getting 12 volts to and threw it with key in crank positon?

Hello sorry for not replying eventually i got the truck running but now my horn or clister,taillights dont work if i put mY hazards on and i honk it stops flashing nd i let it go and the hazards start flashing.if i honk i get taillights but very low
