1997 Sierra Dome light stays on problem

1997 GMC SIerra half ton, Remote Keyless Entry, Ext. cab.
Dome light stays on unless Over ride sw. is pushed in. If ign sw. is in run position and over ride sw. pushed in then there is no delay. If ign.sw. is in off pos. then there is a delay of 45 seconds or so.
This is with all doors closed. And thumb wheel switch in off pos. for dome light
Door jamb switches are both new.
So with over ride sw. button in the "out" position, doors open or closed the dome light stays on un til the battery is dead. O/R switch pushed in, the dome/courtesy lights go out (after delay), but there is still a draw on the battery which will be dead over night.
Factory bulletin says this can be caused by the Courtesy Light Module, which can be part of the RKE Module, in which case there is just the RKE.
So then, I cannot physically see or reach this Module. I have drawings from All Data .com which show where it is supposed to be.

Has anyone ever replaced the RKE/Interior lights module in question?
