Porsche 910 - 67 Targa Florio Winner

Another project: Porsche 910 from Two Cats Models (known before as Fiotti Models).

References: Porsche 910 winner of 67 Targa Florio

Box contents:

And Mr. Fiote also send me an extra decal sheet because the original was intended to build the Le Mans version

Body sanded and primer applied

Body still need some minor fixes.

Re: Porsche 910 - 67 Targa Florio Winner

It looks like a nice kit. I could never find the 910 in 1/24 scale and ended up buying Tamiya's 1/18 plastic kit. I'll be watching the progress, the 910 has a special little place in my heart!

Nice looking kit. I've seen the kit previously but have not been able to figure out how to get my hands on one. How can I purchase it here in the U.S.? I cannot find a link to a website, only the Two Cats blog.
Thanks,
Chuck

Re: Porsche 910 - 67 Targa Florio Winner

A great kit! A good time for me!
My version:

Be careful there are some differences between the version of Le Mans and the Targa: exhaust, engine cover
A lot of pics on the best site for the Targa:

I will follow your wip!

Mesh from Mr. Model. I used the Dremel to open the circle, now i'll scratchbuild the engine fan.

Beautiful work. I need some of that mesh for a 908 I'm working on...

So there was no fan or opening in that panel out of the box?

Re: Porsche 910 - 67 Targa Florio Winner

Thank you guys!

Ian, the model is the 910-6 (6 cylinder), but i'm building the 910-8 (8 cylinder), the main differences are the fan in the engine cover and the exhaust. And this is the mesh i'm using...

Now the work in the interior. I added a fire extinguisher, scratchbuild pedals and some wires.

My reference:

Looking better all the time. I like the access plate in the right footwell with the oil line. Will you be painting interior frame tubes?

Thanks for the tip on the mesh,

ianc
