1984 Cutlass supreme brougham steering colum issue

I have a taken the column apart to fix some issue and I have a spring that I recognize but fell out and cant remember where it goes. I have looked at diagrams but they are not clear enough to tell. I have tried to attach a picture I dont really know what Im doing though.

Kinda looks like the spring for the key buzzer switch...the little plastic switch the slides in the hole under the ignition lock cylinder.

I have that plastic piece with the two tangs coming out in the groove under the switch. I have tried everything I can think of to put it with that, because thats what I thought also but cant get it to go.

Many times over thank you for your help. You were absolutely correct. I had to walk away from it for a bit and went back and got it in. Thanks again.
