F1 #003 - A surprise at the 2013 Amelia Island Concours...

I have it on great authority that F1 #003 will be displayed at the event this weekend. No pictures have surfaced just yet, but I am sure there will be several and it will be great to see this car again after quite a while.

While I can't be there myself it is great that a large number of people will have the opportunity to see an F1, especially one that is not widely known.

Word is that the 12C CanAm Edition will be there as well, and "possibly one other McLaren" but it isn't clear what kind that would be. My guess is either a 12C Spider or some classic racer.

I live in Jacksonville (about 30 min from Amelia Island) and I originally wasn't planning on going, but I am for sure now.

EDIT: Do you know if #003 and #17r will be present both Saturday and Sunday?

I don't know the plans for the GTR - I assume it is there for display all weekend.

The road car will only be displayed Sunday along with a couple of other McLaren Automotive products. Enjoy your time with the cars.

A friend called from Amelia - the interior of #003 now has blue inserts instead of burgundy. I bet that looks great. The stripe is now blue and silver to match.
