reset code

I have a 98 camry w factory alarm and the battery died out..When i replaced it the radio didnt come on .What is the procedure to reset it? The code is on the front -16408.
After turning on I tried holding the 1 button with tune up and saw nothing on screen. The fuses are ok and the cd player eject button works(is on top of radio/cassette player).Nothing comes on screen through entire procedure.
Any info on what to try to even pull it up for entering code?

Re: reset code

I would call a Toyota Service Department and ask them. They can walk you through it over the phone easily. If all else fails, you may need to bring it into a Toyota dealer. Normally, it is just a matter of entering the code with the power on, but there was probably 4 different radio/CD/cassette players installed in a '98 Camry.
