2000 Silverado
I think I have to replace my front wheel bearings because of this noise that has come about. Any tips you have would be greatly appreciated.
Additionally, I have to change my plugs and wanted to know the recommened type and wire type? My engine check light is on again and O2 sensor is the culprit, but i had them for almost two years are they supposed to go out that fast? I have the stepside 5.3l engine. thanks to all. |

Re: 2000 Silverado
I'm getting ready to replace my front wheel bearings too, you'll need a 36mm socket for the axle nut. It's pretty easy to do. I replaced my spark plugs with some cheap ones from Walmart, that's about 140,000 miles ago.... Should probably replace them again but hey, don't fix it if it isn't broken. Just rolled past 248,000 miles with my 2000 Silverado......going for 300K!

Re: 2000 Silverado
the bearing isn't bad to replace, just remember to torque the axle nut. 177lb/ft i think.
ac delco plugs and don't get the cheapo wires, dielectric grease on both ends of the wires. the wires will come with a bit of grease, but it's not enough |
