Steering issue 05 rendezvous ultra

Having a strange issue with the steering in my rendezvous. When I turn the wheel will continue to pull to that side until I turn the other way in which case it will then pull to that side ( right turn pulls right until I turn left). Any ideas on what it may be. The temp. here is -15 F so I may just suck it up and bring it to the shop. This is the AWD model. I am thinking either strut plate or rack and pinion. Any way to rule out one or another? Advice appreciated.
