2001 pontiac montana

Having trouble sliding in new cv joint because of snap ring on transmission drive shaft

Can lube the snap ring with petroleum jelly......

Make sure it slides ok on the splines.....that it is the correct shaft....

Can give it a love tap if necessary....

I will try and hit it harder. The ring just didn't seam to compress enough to allow it to slide in. The ring would catch and stop it.

I will try to hit it harder. I was trying to hut it lightly but the ring was not compressing enough to allow it to slide in. The ring would catch and stop it.
