2002 sable with 3.0 dohc - alternator

GUYS:

Trying to find the original part number for the alternator for a 2002 Mercury Sable with 3.0 DOHC engine. Anyone know the part number and specs on it? I see replacements with 110amps, 120amps & 130amps. Trying to find original or superseded part number and amps. Also, anyone know good brands for replacement, new or remanufactured?

Thanks,

AJ

Try rockauto.com for part #. The amp rating is the maximum the alternator can put out. It will only put out what is needed. So the 120 will put out 80 if that's all your car needs depending on everything you have turned on/off.

Thanks,
