I'm getting ready to do my dash in white with metallic blue vents. Originally I was planning on takiing it out and painting it it like I did the doors, but I have heard that this is not an easy task. I am considering just buying white vinyl and covering the dash while still entact. Which of these 2 options is the most practical? If anyone has used vinyl for this application please come forward and let me know how it turned out. Thanks:sun:

I've taken 2 or 3 dashes out, It isnt THAT bad in the 4g.
It helps if you have a chilton, or even better a Honda Service manual. Theres 2 bolts under the vents in the doorjams, one hidden on the top in the center of the winshield, 2 on the sides under the dash(each side), 1 on the glove box frame, and one on the radio frame I believe. Of course, before all that, you need to take out your cluster and entire radio console. It really isnt that hard, just take your time so you dont break anything. If you take out the whole dash, it will be easier to get at the vents and what not. That way theres less chance of breaking them. Good luck.
