Ferrari 458 GT2 AMP 1/24

Well here I present my first project. I love Ferraris, so I had to introduce myself to you. I opted for the 458 GT-2 AMP, brand new to me, and that really surprised me.
Let the kit, for me this is the first house and really surprised. Almost any burrs and lace 98% perfect.
I have little built, by now have some photos of the kit and not much else.
The kit.

One of the parts I do not like are the tires. So after me with the same model, but several houses, makes a hybrid.
I'll take the ring APM, with photogravures of Renaissance and tires Scale Production.

Here the little I have done. Try lace, fine-palstico and cover hole and put some putty to smooth any marks.

So far so, I hope you like the model and the beginning.
Greetings.
Saul.

Hi,

just one question: Why did you putty the interior of the roof? Isnīt it enough to sand?

Concerning the wheels: I agree, the ones in the kit arenīt the best, but taking the interior etched part from Renaissance dosnīt look much better: The part is 0,15 mm thick, the original would be 3,6 mm think - not realistic.

The interior putty obsession is because I do not like seeing brands, so I leave everything matched.

On the subject of wheels you're right, they would not be real, but I'm a tad big hands and broke one of them, by testing a tire. I'm looking if someone can make a copy in resin.
Thanks for commenting.

Re: Ferrari 458 GT2 AMP 1/24

For now I have placed two pieces that are at the bottom of the windows, piercing, because there'll have to make a piece.

Then I opened the side entrances I'll have to tweak.

Well the subject of tires I think I've solved. Probe with which broke, causing larger inside and placing of Scaleproduction, they are the same size. Then place that brings gravure model and simulate the nut and the outer ring finalel. When will I have to put a ring because it added a little smaller than the rim.

That's all for now.
Greetings.

Re: Ferrari 458 GT2 AMP 1/24

Well after a little work, and have the tires, is just preparing the tire. The first tire that I have been a little "well", the rest came out best. Having what you think.I took advantage of the base that brings the model and in the center I attached the Scale Production.

A continucaion have prepared the spoiler. Turns out comes the crack through which place, but no support for, so smoothed behind and put plastic to make the base.

Then we put the spoiler side inserts. Since there is no mark I had to do half template and paste praying.

Thankfully it has been straight. I hope you enjoy it.
Greetings.
Saul.

GREAT wip photo's so far.
Just high lights the work involved in building a resin kit, and this is a costly one at that ..!!
it'll be an excellent looking model.

Re: Ferrari 458 GT2 AMP 1/24

Well some small progress.
White primer.

First ruling. I gave the tires a brightness cap and then place decals. Attempt to injury letritas putting the tires and giving marabu matte enamel. Although I have done with caution, as the rim is just in the tire, the Michelin decals have gone a little, not very noticeable, it does highlight the macro more. What do I do? I ask others, it would be all the decal sheet, and left it at that.

Here I have already finished the spoiler, that anger mate, to contrast a little with the ankle of the bodywork.

This is all companions, pets tips.
Greetings.

Re: Ferrari 458 GT2 AMP 1/24

Well I already painted the absence of decals, and some possible retouch after lacquering. I got the idea of making the Italian flag with faded colors here and decided to make it with this model. Well you tell me what you think in the absence of the decals.
