Nurse Needs Safe But Fun Car!

Hi!

I'm a nurse who lives in Maine that needs a safe reliable car that will get me to work regardless of the weather. My sister is recommending a Subaru Outback but I kind of want something a little more fun... perhaps even zippy? I know little to nothing about cars... except that I would prefer smaller but I want it to be a beast in the snow. I have a 12k budget.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Mae

Re: Nurse Needs Safe But Fun Car!

Hi Mae,

Could you be a bit more specific as for the kind of model you're looking for? Small jeep, hatchback, 4-door sedan? I have to say though that the Subaru would be a great choice.

cheers

Re: Nurse Needs Safe But Fun Car!

Compact cars are very popular these days. That is if you want a cheap, smaller, more fuel-efficient and low-maintenance vehicles.

But mentioning that you want it to be a beast in snow, then Subaru it is! Try buying a used one so as to hit a price within your budget. Then just do some mods on it to make it more "fun" looking. Good luck!
