Re: Citroen 2CV 1/24 Tamiya

Well I, for one, love it. Congratulations on a nice looking build. I hope the girlfriend likes it. Why a 2CV? And what made you try that color scheme? It looks good. My only suggestion would be to strip the chrome parts and paint them aluminum metalizer. I've seen hundreds of these cars and have never seen shiny chrome anywhere on them.

It is nice to see one of these here. I recently got the Tamiya kit and am currently struggling with the Heller kit to get it finished and presentable.

Vive la Citroen! Vive la deuche!

thanks, I'm glad you like it! well, 2CV because we found out that a famous japanese guy (Mr Miyazaki) has got a car like this and my girlfriend loves his movies (he makes animated cartoons) also we saw a few in Tokyo while we lived there and when we found this model in a model shop she asked me to build one. she choose the colours and she wanted the chrome parts not to be painted with flat aluminium. anyway, she is happy with it so, I'm happy too!
thanks for looking!!

Re: Citroen 2CV 1/24 Tamiya

This very detailed and well executed model reminds me the Citroën 2CV by Hermes, a one-off luxury version created to celebrate the 60th anniversary of this iconic car, and displayed at the 2008 Paris Auto Show.
