Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R Veilside Combat

Hi guys,

this is my new project: Aoshima Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R Veilside Combat:

It's a pretty nice kit with a lot of parts. Most of them are for a stock R32 but there are also a few extra parts to replicate the Veilside car. The body already have the Veilside bumpers molded on which is a good thing, cause the Aoshima bumpers doesn't fitt most of the time.

And there was a little suprise in this kit It has an engine! Not very detailed but it's a cool extra I think.

There are also very nice wheels in this kit. And the rear wheels are very wide! They are Veilside Andrew Racing Dish.

The body will be painted Nordic Gold by Porsche:

Kris.

Re: Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R Veilside Combat

Finally an update for this model.

First I sanded the body and scribed out the panellines. After that I sprayed some grey primer on it, followed by the nice color Nordic Gold:

I have to do another layer of paint cause I forgot a spot on the roof...

Re: Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R Veilside Combat

I added the bodyparts to the body and gave it a few more layers of Nordic Gold to avoid paint differents.

I really want to see this color with clearcoat!

buttery smooth is what comes to my mind with the clear (the color does remind me of browning butter, lol). still, nice!

Thanks mate,

No i'm not going to use the decals, cause I think they don't suit with the new body color. Maybe for a future project cause I've more Veilside stuff in my stash.

Re: Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R Veilside Combat

I polished the body and did some masking to paint the windowtrims.

I also started on the engine. First I thought it wouldn't be a nice one, but I just painted the parts and putted it together. Now I'm very proud of it looks Just for an OOB engine it looks good I think. I painted the enginecover in Zero Metallic Grey (MS-5) and all other parts in black and chrome. I added some BMF to replicate the hoseclamps.

And put the wheels together.

I also was close to the finish of the interior, but the paint came with after removing the masking tape... So I have to start over again...
