2000 Grand am front end noise
I have a 2000 grand am with 189000 miles and i have replaced both front wheel bearings and all of the struts. I put new brake pads on and rotated tires. I still have a horribly loud grinding noise in the front end of the car. I jacked it up off the ground and took the front wheels off and put the car in drive and the noise is still present. It gets louder the faster i go. I really hope you guys can help me pin point this problem cause it drives me nuts and the worst part is how much money i have put into this car trying to figure it out. Thank you ahead of time!

Re: 2000 Grand am front end noise
Worst case is a failure inside the trans. You can use a mechanics stethascope to help isolate the cause of the noise. If it did not change with the bearings or the tire rotation, and its speed, not rpm related, then either all of your tires are chopped up, or its in the transaxle.
