Subaru Impreza WRC '99 1/24

Hi there, newbie to the forum and a newbie to car models but not a newbie to models. I come from a Gundam model background (let me know if you guys are interested in seing some of my work) But i'm kinda a car guy so i figured i would give a tamiya model a GO!!!

I decided to go with one of my favorite cars of all time from the WRC the GC8/22B body style Subaru Impreza WRX STI by Prodrive. I adore this vehicle so when i was looking for a car and saw this one i knew i had to have it.

PS: Please if you guys have pointers feel free to give some constructive criticism i don't mind it one bit.

Ahh something on this kit i am quite familiar doing... FIXING BROKEN PIECES!!!! except usually im the one who breaks the part this one came like this.

Just used some plastic cement, sanded, then used some putty then sand again.

Got the drive train all assembled. i was pleasantly surprised with how fun this kit is to build very refreshing to do something other than a Gundam.

So i got some work done on the Impreza tonight before i go off to bed while watchin some WRC on TV haha.

I started by finishing the fix on the outer shells A-Pillar. plastic is pretty amazing how easy it can be fixed like nothing happened.

Next i primed up all the parts to the drive train and steering components. After that i gloss blacked all of them and started painting them the respective colors im deciding to go with. we will see how it turns out because im just kinda reaching in the paint drawer saying hmm i guess i'll try that lol

Yeah i didn't even mask that... lol but i will go back and repaint the black boot when im ready

Making progress got to do all the details on these parts next but progress is huge since i have not done much model making in awhile so wish me luck

This just got here so it will be time to do some decanting... I think thats how its spelled.
