'04 Chevy pickup

Does anyone have any idea what could cause this '04 Chevy pickup 4.3 ltr to sometimes spin over but not crank when trying to start? We have replaced the coil and the cps in the distributor and it still will leave the dude stranded 2-3x a week but when it comes to us, the truck shows NO symptoms, throws no codes. We can't get it to NOT crank. Any ideas?

spin over and not crank I would replace the starter . first drop it inspect for any flywheel and starter drive failure/damage.

If you mean it cranks but does not start at times then step one is FUEL PRESSURE MUST BE MEASURED.
