1/12 Suzuki RGV-Gamma '00

Hey all,

Here is my latest build, a full-detailed Suzuki from the '00 season. It was a really fun build, as I did a all out detail on it without the "help" of any detail kits out there. (Well, there was a small p/e set that didn't add much...) I pretty much added all detail on the nose and on the sides of the box frame. I also added the throttle linkage, one of the neater aspects of the 500s. Ask any questions. I may have a few more pics in the next few days...

Daniel

I appreciate all the comments, guys.

One question--why did not too many people comment? It's been viewed a lot but no comments? Did I make someone mad??

Nice to see an old school stroker race bike, instead of all the latest 4 stroke machines.

You have done an excellent job of an iconic bike.

So, do most of you not like or comment on bikes? Just curious, as many bikes get a lot more comments than this one did. I'm just curious to see if something is wrong with it? Something to be corrected? Or is it just the subject matter?

I'm just trying to pick your (collective) brains.

Beautifully done Daniel - the pipes are excellent - how did you get the "gold" detail of the welds? - thanks - John

Its not you or your build. Lately there has been less and less people commenting on builds in general. Maybe less traffic? Model builders are becoming rarer and rarer, thanks ps3 and xbox!!

The outcome on your build is sweet. The detail work looks topnotch, hope my bike turns out half as good. Any chance for pics with fairings? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, John. It's funny but it's only gold bare metal foil cut into very thin strips. The real thing has odd rings/braces on the pipes that are very gold in color.

Thanks, MM. I really appreciate the thoughts. I just thought it odd but your explanation makes a lot of sense.

I don't display my bikes with the fairing on, sorry! After all that work... I normally glue the entire body fairings (nose, sides and bottom) together to hang on a fairing holder from MFH.

Re: 1/12 Suzuki RGV-Gamma '00

Daniel - I thought the "gold" was Bare Metal Foil - but wasn't sure - that's the most realistic "gold" look so far in pictures. I also try to bring out the gold look to the brazing done on the pipes with paint - I'll have to give BMF a try - Thanks Daniel for the confirmation - John

Beautiful work throughout and many different finishes and textures, really brings it to life, well done..!!!
I think what has been said above about not many comments is very true. Not as many people on the forums of late. I've noticed that myself as well. Plenty of views but not many comments. It's not you or the subject matter, so don't worry and keep building..!!
