Brakes, 2002 Ranger

I suffered a catastrophic failure in both rear brake lines. I replaced them, bled them with a "one man" setup. The pedal still seems soft, have I missed something? In the days of the shuttle valve, the brake light would tell me to reset by bleeding a front cylinder, however I have no indication of that type. Any help is greatly appreciated. The thing does have ABS.
