automotivebanners.com

I love this forum, great info, and well set up. One complaint tho - the macromedia flash banners (and even the standard ones too sometimes) from automotivebanners.com seem to keep choaking my connection. They take forever to load and just generally ruin what would be an otherwise flawless site. Are they comming from a different (and slower) server to the automotiveforums.com content?

Does anyone else have problems with the site being slow to load (in particular anyone from this end of the world)?

yes, the banners are served from another server.
There have been some problems with that server in the past.. but I doubt there will be any from now on... at least not anytime soon.. if you experience trouble please let me know

thanks,

Igor

Cheers, willdo.

Hmmm, while I'm mentioning other servers, the requests to wwp.icq.com often slow the loading of the pages for me too... Not that much can be done about that without loosing the functionality...

I've had the AB loads crap out on me, too. When I go to press "Back" on the browser, the ads have loaded as three separate pages...

Any thread that has replies from someone with ICQ set up refuses to load unless I cancel the request to ICQ... Thankfully there doesn't seem to be anyone in the G20 forum (where I spend most of my time) with ICQ set up.

It got to here before I got sick of waiting:

If you are using netscape, get off it. AF hates netscape.
