Revells 2013 Boss 302 Mustang

And a quick mock up to see the ride height, and it looks like its going to need to be lowered a little bit

Re: Revells 2013 Boss 302 Mustang

up first, a little more work on the engine, after looking at the pic, I see I need to touch up the valve covers in the holes and a few other spots , I used metalizer gun metal instead of a black , and I used Tamiya Brilliant Blue , I do want to make comment about this kit, the flash and mold/seems lines are not bad so far, but compare that to the Revell AG BMW DTM kit , that thing is horrendous in the way of mold and seem lines.

Re: Revells 2013 Boss 302 Mustang

I am sure you are waiting to see what shade of purple I am going with, well here it is, I am also going to be using the primer as well, thought I would give it a try

And started work on lowering the ride height , up first was the front, cut down the attachment point

and in the rear

and cut down the springs

and removed a little bit off the top of the axle , just a tad bit to much as I cut through

and now the new ride height, I wanted to go just a tad bit lower in the front, but that would mean having to break out the dremel and grinding down the under side of the wheel well, but there is not a lot of plastic that can be removed without going through

And some primer shots , and working on removing the mold lines, which are not that bad, also deepened the panel lines

Looking great so far. Looking forward to more progress. Good job lowering it also.

Re: Revells 2013 Boss 302 Mustang

Body is cleared and polished, need to paint the trim next, sorry, no pic, having a hard time getting the camera to capture the color , I need to try and take a pic outside and see if that helps

Moving on the chassis, and well, I am not sure if I got even close, I split the difference on the under body color, I used OD green and a brown, just dont ask me at what ratio, it started out as OD green, didnt like it, so I tired doing a light coating of brown, didnt like that, so I mixed the two together and got what you see.

And started on the the interior
