2002 gmc seirra rear end
while spinning on ice the rear end clunks while it switches from tire to tire trying to get traction and my dad has a 2000 and it just clunks once and goes posi whats wrong

More than likely not it, but just make sure your rear diff fluid is at a good level and clean. If dirty hard on gears and MAYBE a POSSIBLE solution. good luck
