Replacement stabilizer bar for 2001 Intrigue

Greetings, 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue 3.5L I just replaced both lower control arms, and the stabilizer bar. The stabilizer bar had snapped partially at one end, and I figured as I was replacing the control arms, I should replace that as well. The stabilizer bar I got was from RockAuto.com. The GM part# is 10284146, and the RockAuto part was a DORMAN Part # 927100; Alternate/OEM Part Number(s): 10257316, 10257317, 10284146, 10287717, 10287944, 10404184 I assumed these were identical, and while it seeming fits in place, I noticed it curves somewhat differently then the original. To my eyes it curves down a bit too close to the control arm for my comfort. There is about a finger width gap between the two and do not know if this will cause a problem. Again it seems to sit in fine, connects to both linkage on the control arms. I am second guessing if it is upside, but I had looked and compared with the original, and am not sure if flipping it will help. Wanted to know if anyone else as used this part from DORMAN and how it fits.

Start with this thread, http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...90#post6939890 scroll down to post #42 about flipping the bar or go to the beginning of that thread for other inputs.
There are also lots of discussion here regarding the crappo hollow sway bars from gm and aftermarket replacements, the search is your friend

cheers
