Are honda civics REALLY 'that' much better than these other cars?

2003 Honda Civic EX Coupe with 89,000 miles on it for $7,500

compared to...

A 1997 Toyota Camry LE with 130,000 miles at only $4,500

The '93 - '97 Toyota Celica Convertibles - let's say between 90k and 120k miles and between $5,000 - $6,000.

Assuming they are both in mechanically sound condition....

Is there any large difference between the quality of the 4 cars or would they pretty much be the same?

And anyone could comment on the differences in quality between a Honda Civic and a Honda Accord that might be 2 years less with 20k miles more - Is there much of a difference because I think I'd prefer the accord just because of it's size and looks.

Thanks for any answers!

Well, a large part of the cost difference in those cars is the age difference. The Honda is 6 years newer than any of the other models you considered. Despite its mileage, the newer car is going to be worth more.

Anyhow, Honda and Toyota both have respectable repair records. As long as the cars have had proper maintenance and replacements made, any of them would be good choices.

And if you prefer the Accord for looks, then go for it!

Let us know what you finally settle on!
