Two Trouble Codes
On my 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue 3.8, my scanner picked up 2 codes:
1. P1651, I replaced the relay twice, then replaced the fuse box. It still pops up. Where do I look? 2. P0336, I took it a mechanic, he replaced the sensor, then replaced a seal to stop an oil leak on to sensor, then on the third trip he did a relearn. The damn code still shows up. Don't know if he did the relearn incorrectly or just got ahold of a defective sensor from the parts store. About the relearn, several mechanics have told me that its not necessary. One said that if it was 2000 or newer, its imperative but not on that year. I'm confused now and all I can say is, HELP!!! |

Re: Two Trouble Codes
Do you have power to the relay?
Have you checked the harness between the sensor and the ICM? Also check the connectors at the sensor and ICM..... Does he have a scan tool capable of performing the relearn? |

Sorry about delayed reply, work in retail. What can I use to test the relay issue? The mechanic said that they wiring was fine. I assume it was capable of the relearn. I have a Actron Autoscanner plus and had hopes it could, I went thru its menus but couldn't find anything about Crankshaft variation relearn. |
