96 Avalon headlights wont shut off
The headlights on my 96 Avalon wont shut off even when the car is turned off. It doesnt matter what position it is set to for the lights, they continue to stay on after the car is shut off. All other lights turn off like they are suppost to.

my '99 does this also. however, the headlights shut off when i open the drivers door after i turn the car off. i think it was a built in security feature. if you want to sit in a parking lot and listen to the radio without headlights on, just turn the key to the accessory position and then open and shut the drivers door and the headlights should shut off. i wish the off switch for the headlights was truly off. there are times when i'd rather just use parking lights for navigation.
