Many of you already know whats going on here. For those of you who don't, theres a 6 bolt swap with everything done right going on here. I've been slowly collecting my parts to do it but the time had come for the motor internals. Lets just say that I can be a very spontaneous person. Wednesday night I ordered every internal part that I would need. I am still short a few bolt on items but they can be worried about later once the motor is in the car again. Remember, this car is getting done from bumper to bumper with everything.
Now for the list of everything...6 Bolt motor: Weisco 9.0:1 coated pistons .020 over Eagle H-beam rods Comp Cam2's 272/272 Crower springs Titanium retainers 1mm oversized SS valves Clevite rod bearings and main bearings ARP head studs, rod bolts, and main studs Balance shaft elimination kit Revised lifters Greddy Kevlar timing belt Complete Topline gasket kit Cometic MLS headgasket New auto tensioner New water pump New thermostat New starter New alternator New oil squirters Everything machined and balanced 90 N/T TB Tubular exhaust manifold 46mm external wastegate Greddy 18g turbo (I'm sure it will be replaced in the near future. )Custom 3" stainless exhaust turbo back (V-banded to turbo.) 24x12x4 front mount intercooler 2 1/2" piping from turbo to intercooler, 3" from intercooler to TB Dual slimline fans 3" GM MAS Turbo xs RFL BOV GReddy Profec B spec II EBC Battery relocation to hatch 255lph high pressure fuel pump Aeromotive FPR 680cc injectors MAFT S-AFC Datalogger ACT flywheel Competition clutch Shepherd stage 2 tranny New slave cylinder SS braided clutch line (Removed clutch line dampner.) Short throw shifter KYB adjustables with Eibach springs Front and rear strut tower bars Inline oil filter (Before the turbo) Lots of SS braided lines Autometer Phantom gauges: Boost, EGT, Oil pressure, Fuel pressure, Engine temp Interior converted to all black Removed AC Removed antilock brakes (New master cylinder, proportioner, and front lines.) Stripped engine bay of unnecesary items and sensors ![]() Repairing all rust Redoing stock wheels 95 Talon sideskirts being painted and added Tinting windows as dark as legally possible and last but not least... a power antenna I'm pretty sure I remembered everything, but its possible that I didn't. ![]() Now for some progress pictures! (I won't bore you all to death with all the pictures, but I am redoing my Talon website with them if your interested. )![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here's a bonus... I was going through all the packaging peanuts in the box of my stuff from extremepsi and during my shuffling I found this just as you see it. Blade and all out. :cough:lawsuit:cough: ![]() Opinions? Thoughts? Concerns? lol I will be updating this thread all the time as something new comes up or is changed. I'm going to be taking pictures and doing some write-ups of certain things that I feel could be put to good use. I will make them their own sperate threads of course, just in case people want more stickeys. lol

![]() I can thank Ohio's snow for the rust it has. I really didn't think it was that bad until I started poking it with a screwdriver... Thats when I decided I had to cut it all out and weld in some new steel.

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon Project... Warning: Lots of pictures!
My talon is from Chicago and wyoming, most of his life, but lucky have no rust any where. That one thing that make me worried, when I was up to chicago to check out the car , RUST....

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon Project... Warning: Lots of pictures!
Wow. It looks so good from the outside you wouldn't think it would have so much rust. After you get done with the metal work you should go ahead and have it painted while it's all took apart, so the engine compartment will look nice and fresh for the fresh 6 bolt.

For the love of god, tell us how much it's cost you so far! Your mods/goals are right up my ally, so a price point would be very nice...

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon Project... Warning: Lots of pictures!
Well its adding up quick... Lemme tell ya... I have 3000 in buying my car, 2000 in built trannys, 2600 in motor internals, and about 1500 in bolt on stuff... So I'm probably topping 9000 into my whole car... But it will be like brand new since I'm doing everything from bumper to bumper.
And this picture is for Scott... Thats 1/3 of the shop. lol

You suck. My garage is just big enough to fit the talon, and that is when there is nothing else in there and even then you can bairly get in and out

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon Project... Warning: Lots of pictures!
I think i would have gone with mitsu belt instead of Greddy Kevlar timing belt
Why i say this is because i have heard a few people that went with that same belt and fucked there shit up because of belt breaking. IMO nothing is like the OEM mitsu belt

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon Project... Warning: Lots of pictures!
I've heard the kevlars have less of a chance of breaking and last longer than an oem one. Plus the motor is gonna be revving slightly higher than a stock motor would.

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon Project... Warning: Lots of pictures!
For gods sake with all that money you're investing, why didn't you just stroke it? Hopefully one of these days I can get crackin on my Talon and I'll join the rest of the group with massive mods and lists of parts.
