02' Ford Taurus vs. 88 Honda Accord

Hello, I've been driving an 02 Ford Taurus with 250,000 miles on it for sometime. It runs great and needs new tires. However, my family just received a Honda Accord 88 with 230,000 miles on it, manual transmission, and runs great. My question is which would be the better choice to drive?

Love the old Accords!

Being old though, there is more chance more things will go wrong with it.
Anything rubber will be aged and hardened by now, so vacuum lines could fail easily.
Like wise anything in the ignition system is likely to fail unless it's been replaced.
The plastics in the interior will also be getting brittle, and I doubt the fabrics have worn as well as those in the Taurus.
But, the Accord is a nice simple design, very easy to work on, and when it does break, far less complex too fix.
No need for scan tools etc.
