Well what makes you think IAC?

Trying to out think a computers system can get a person into a lot of probelms.

Only proper testing will tell you the problem.

What was the code no. and what engine?
And what symtoms does it have?
What is it doing or not doing?

Was code cleared and sysyem checked for any codes coming back?

Codes do not say throw parts at it.
But check it out.

If you have a low voltage code first thing you should do is run a voltage check on it.
Always check input and out put voltage and ground and also sensor plug in and wiring.

Re: 95 s0 cpi tps sensor code

95 s10 v6 vortec cpi i believe the code was 1022 it said low voltage at throttle position /pedal sensor.cleared the code with scanner and it came right back.replaced tps still came back.idle was low about 5oo rms pulled out iac plunger was totally stuck tried cleaning with brake clean ,but still doesnt seem to work right.both sensors are oem original with 325k on them so i think its time to replace anyway, throttle did get stuck a couple of times lately too

OBD11 code or engine code?
If it is a voltage code get out the volt meter and check the sensor voltage for up to specs.
You should have .85 volts or little less at closed throttle from sensor to computer and raise up even with nopdrop outs to 4.5 volts wide open throttle.
What are you voltage reading?

That is the referance tps sensor feed voltage.
Check the other tps sensor wire to computer to get sensor voltage.

Recheck the codes no.

.03 is to low.
Low enought to set low voltage code.
You should have 7 to 8.5 volts.
Always us a good digital volt meter.
Old type resister volt meters are no good for checking low computer voltage.
May even damage computer.

Did the voltage come up at wide open throttle?

At .03 voltstps out put to computer and 4.5-5 volts referance voltage and good ground and plugin wiring.
You have a bad TPS sensor or way out of adjustment or not hooked on the throttle linkage right.

If voltage does not swing up opening throttle it may no be installed right.

Remove it from throttle body and hook it up and take a screw driver and crank it and see if voltage swings up.

It should swing up to reference voltage 4.5 to 5 volts.
