How Do You...

I saw an eclipse the other day, and its turn signals blink rapidly, probably 4x faster than normal turn signals. Is there a FAQ anywhere or a post somewhere on here that shows how to rig turn signals to blink that fast?

you can buy a module on ebay for mad money ... or rewire your bumper lenses with dual fillament bulbs like I did ... side effect of it was the hiperblinker.

Hook the ground to the ground, the positive of the bumper lense to the 'low' of the dual fillament socket, and then run either a wire from a switch in the car, or from your corner lenses down to the high.

I will get you all the information you need to do this if you are interested.
, I have done both my moms 91 accord, and my 91 civic.

On the accord, the low is hooked up to the corner lense as the foglamp, and high is blinker. Using this method it still blinks at the stock rate.

On my civic, low is blinker, and high is the foglamp.

The sockets can be optained from the brake lamp of a wrecked honda, just make sure you get it from a honda, cause all you have to do is modify the socket a little bit to get it to fit

Black = Ground
Red = Low
Green = High

Anyways so lemme know

I also have night shots of each car on request.

You can put the wrong bulb in there too. Like the one that is in the hatch I just bought. I need to replace it so the blinkers will be normal again.

sure no problem.

The method posted below is for really bright running lights, and creates the hiperblinker effect.

Step one. Get yourself some dual fillament 1157 sockets from the brake lamps of a wrecked honda at the junkyard

Step two. Remove your bumper lense, and cut the single fillament socket off. Then add wire to it if you need more

Step three. Cut the positive of the bulb closest to the headlight in your corner lense, and then crimp extra wire onto that while reconnecting the corner lense, run this wire down to the bumper so that you can wire it to the bumper lense.

Hook the black (negative) from your socket, to the neg coming out of the car

Hook the red to what you want to be the 'low'. If you want the hiperblinker effect, then hook the wire that was in your single fillament socet to that

Hook the green to the wire you ran down from your corner lense to the high

You will need to cut part of the 1157 socket to get it to fit into the bumper lense, I reccomend using a pocket knife for this. You will know what to cut when you try to get it to fit.

Then walla you are done. The highs will now come on with the headlights, the lows will blink with the blinker, and you will have the hiperblinker you desire without sacraficing the bumper lenses. The only drawback is the bumper lenses can be dim when blinking in the day, so be sure to get yourself some good superwhites to compensate.
